People always say not to get a tattoo because you’ll have it forever and it will look ugly when it gets old.

When I get married, I will have him forever, and he will look ugly when he gets old, and it won’t matter. Those of us who get tattoos not purely for aesthetic reasons but because of memories, our convictions, our loves, our hopes, and deeper reasons than just ‘tribal armbands look cool’, the thought of growing old with a tattoo is less scary than it is exciting.

I have cat’s eyes on my lower back (”tramp stamp”). Got it ’cause I love cats, but it became a real draw when I’d wear low riders or a bathing suit. Freaked potentials out as well!! Gotta love it!!

I got my 1st tattoo, about a week ago. I never used ointment for it, all I did was wash it how your supposed to, and kept it moisturized. I rarely touch it, and keep it from touching things I know is dirty. Now its going through the itchy phase, but it looks as if its “cracking”. Is this just the part where it starts peeling, or am I not keeping it moisturized enough?
