Tattoo of Crosses
Cross Tattoo Designs and Tattoos of Crosses
Christian Cross Tattoos are becoming very popular for both men and women of the Christian faith and the designs range from the very simple cross tattoo on someones arm or shoulder, to the elaborate back piece tattoo that depicts the Christian Cross design and other elements from the faith... that are large and more like works of art than a Tattoo.
As tattoos become more and more main stream, you no longer only see the Hells Angels guys with the tattoos anymore, then more and more Christians are getting the proclamation of their faith on their body permanently with tattoos. The most popular style of Christian tattoo is one that incorporates the Christian Cross.
Types of Christian Cross Tattoo Designs
Celtic style Christian Crosses
Celtic tattoo designs are a very popular theme or style of tattoo, and especially for Christian Cross Tattoos. Celtic Cross Tattoos have that that you can not mistake. For example take a look at this incredible Celtic Style Cross Tattoo. The detail and depth of design is incredible, with the interwoven designs and the circular background behind the Celtic Cross. This is a traditional Celtic Cross Pattern that can been seen throughout historical Celtic Crosses.
I think that the Celtic Cross Tattoo design is popular because quite frankly they look incredible, they can symbolize the Christian Faith in a design that looks cool to virtually everyone, Christian or not. Here are more examples Celtic Cross Tattoos and I think the one one the very bottom of this page is pretty cool looking.
Tribal Cross Tattoo Designs
Tribal Crosses are similar in popularity to the Celtic Cross tattoos, as they give a huge range of creative style, design and meaning to your cross tattoo. Tribal cross designs typically have balanced flowing lines making curves and patterns wrapped and intermingled throughout the design. The designs look 'raw' and 'uncut' but when you look closer there is a balance and style to the tribal pattern. I've only found a handful of quality tribal cross tattoo designs, I thought this tribal tattoo looked good.
This girl also got a Cross Tattooed to cover up a smaller tatoo.
This is an amazing looking arm piece of Jesus on the cross.
Obligatory Sucky Cross Tattoo
If you are considering getting a Christian Cross tattoo then I recommend taking a look at the awesome designs in my favorite tattoo gallery, www.chopper-tattoo.com
Grim Reaper Tattoos

Death Personified - The Grim Reaper Tattoo
The Grim Reaper, with it's trusty scythe in hand, can make an awesome tattoo design. It is bad ass, fearsome and is literally death personified.
The Grim Reaper, aka death is usually portrayed in a sentient form such as a skeleton, or hooded demon, although the skeleton is much more common. The Grim reaper and it has been around since the beginning of recorded history.
If you are considering getting a Grim Reaper Tattoo I highly recommend you take a look at the Grim Reaper Tattoo Designs in the Tattoo Gallery, Chopper Tattoo. visit www.chopper-tattoo.com and take a look at the grim reaper styles and examples of different tattoo designs for the Grim Reaper. If you find one you really like you can download it and print out the stencil to begin your tattoo process.
Let's take a little deeper look at the Grim Reaper.
The Grim Reaper has historically been drawn as a skeleton, often wearing a midnight black gown with the hood over the head / skull. If the reaper has the hood over his head, the only thing you see are the reapers eyes, typically glowing red or white hot. Historical drawings, pictures and artwork show the grim reaper sometimes wearing a white burial shroud in addition to carrying his massive scythe, gown and hood. He is always a feared individual, ready to dole out death to whomever he touches.
Examples of Grim Reaper Tattoos.
I scoured the web and wanted to link over to some examples of Grim Reaper Tattoos. Here is what I found so far in relating to Grim Reaper Tattoos.
Reaper in black and purple w/ spider - not sure about the spider... the reaper is pretty fierce though.
Grim Reaper on a Girl - Huge Reaper on the back of a beautiful looking woman with a very cool tree underneath. *may be a painting, but it is still hot.
Awesome Grim Reaper Tattoo Art - this is an awesome tattoo from the boston tattoo convention, just incredible looking.
Grim Reaper with Skythe Back Tattoo - Great work, I couldn't imagine the length of time it would take to get this done.
Obligatory MyTattooSucks.com Sucky Tattoo
Sucky Grim Reaper - Not sure which sucks worse, the tattoo or the lame commentary in the photo.
Want a grim Reaper Tattoo?
Why do people choose the grim reaper for their tattoo designs? Well, that's easy. Skeletons, skulls, grim reapers are all popular 'bad ass' style tattoos. This isn't a butterfly tattoo or some cartoon character. If you want a "dark" themed tattoo, and I use dark figuratively... although most grim reaper tattoos are done in black and white with a touch of color.
If you are looking for a Grim Reaper tattoo then you have a lot of questions to answer. First, are you looking for a large grim reaper or a small reaper? Do you want the full blown reaper or just the skull and skythe? Look around at the online tattoo galleries, and if you are not yet a member I recommend you go ahead and join Chopper Tattoo and take a look at the examples that they have for Grim Reaper Tattoos.
